Teralink Networks (Teralink) is a licensed telecommunications FTTx** company who utilises their own installed fibre-optic infrastructure, for residences and businesses, to take advantage of the benefits of high speed fibre bandwidth to access the Internet and a range of additional services. Teralink’s main shareholder is a South African Tier 1 National Telecommunications Operator, namely ICTGlobe Management (Pty) Ltd.

Teralink Networks was formed in 2006 and focused on network infrastructure and specifically fibre. The company has rolled out fibre into numerous business parks including Cambridge, Berkeley and Oxford office parks in Centurion, Pretoria.

Residential Fibre has become a focus area for Teralink and has been installed into numerous FTTH sites, namely (but not limited to) Val de Vie (Paarl), Shandon Reserve (Nelspruit), Stonehurst Mountain Estate (Constantia), Verdeau Lifestyle Estate (Wellington), Helderberg Manor (Somerset West), Eligwa Estate (Vereeniging), etc.

Teralink have structured a unique open access fibre solution where the winners are the residents / tenants who now have the power to select a service provider, of their choice, with numerous value-adds including an intercom system.

** The FTTx acronym is widely understood as Fibre-to-the-x where x can denote mainly 2 fibre destinations in the South African context. These include Fibre to the Home (FTTH – residential) and Fibre to the Building (FTTB –business parks).
